last night as i stood at the door and hugged each person who walked in to the show i felt the power of what happens when people show up. show up for themselves, for their friends, for each other, for their city, for the music, for the fellowship, for the laughs and for the love of it all

about 4 years ago i took an african drum class
where i met my friends santina from hidden and sheila from the sajara uprockers
and we learned a nigerian tradition about thanks
